Christmas ornament blog hop

Hello my beautiful friends and family

So is everyone getting ready for Santa.  I am sooooo behind,  I don't even have
my tree up.  My 4 year old grand daughter said to me the other day "Oh My GOOSSH Bella, how is Santa suppose to find you and leave your presents.  You need a tree so he'll find you."   So yes, guys we will go shopping for our tree today.  Hopefully!!  :-)  Or Santa will not be able to leave me any presents. LOL

But anyway, I am so glad you're here today in my Den.  As many of you know I am one of Elsa's cub.  At Just a few friends.  Elsa challenged the PRIDE to
create a Christmas ornament.   This means that you will be able to prowl along and see 13 different ornaments.  Yes, our Den has 13 cubs prowling all over the place trying to inspire you and give you ideas to create as well.  You should start with our Lioness Elsa.  If you did, then yay!  You're doing great, and almost done.  Just have one more to go.  And that will be Jules

I made 3 only because I was having so much fun making them and I thought that my
grand daughter could probably give one to her teachers.   And here they are....

Front and back :-)

I used the Graphic 45 paper "Nutcracker Sweet" and I also used paper from "Recollection"
the stickers are from "K & Company"  and I also did a lot of fussy cutting with the graphic 45
paper.  Flowers are from I am roses.

If you want to watch my YT for better details this is the link for my You tube.   Ok so Jules will be next and I will add the line up just in case you missed anyone.  LOL  Thanks for prowling with
us and visiting all our Dens.  I hope we have inspired you to create a Christmas ornament.

Happy Holidays Everyone!!!

Another challenge

Hello friends

Yes, me again.  LOL  Hope all is well.  So, you all know how I love sketches.
Well I just made another card for Graphicats.  The challenge this time is to choose
any of the older sketches and create something.  I chose sketch #8.
I've done a few but not this one, so I took it as a challenge.   Cheri is also having a DT call.  Which means you can just do the sketch or you can do the sketch and enter it.  I want to do both.  So, wish me luck.  :-)

Well here is sketch #8...

and here is my card...

The paper that I used is MME "Breeze".  I picked it up at Michael's.  All the flowers are
from IAM.  A nice juicy order that I placed and received just on time to make this card.
Everything else is from my stash.

Have a great week everyone :-)
Hugs.

Uptown Sophie

Hello there,

So how was your Thanksgiving?  Hubby and I drove to Florida.  Long, long drive.  15 hours!!  But, we made it safe and we had a good time with his family.  Now I'm back home.  And all I can say is home, sweet home!  :-)  I hope you all had a beautiful day with your family also.

Guess what?   Sweet Nothings Stamp has a challenge for the month of November.  And the challenge is to use this palette...

I found a paper pad that had the perfect colors.  It's the 6 x 6  "Little black dress" by Basic Grey.
Lucky me!!!  I also got the digi Uptown Sophie free from them in the month of November.                 So I made a birthday card for my sister Yvonne.  And ta-da...

I used some lace, trim, a button and a heart from my stash.  The one big flower is from IAR.  I used
5 petals of white and I sprayed them with "Gregarious Grey" from Lindys stamp gang.  I found the bigger metal at Michaels.  It's call "Metal".  The 17 is from Tim Holtz and how perfect that my sister's birthday was on the 17th.  I love when things work out like that.  I am also entering this for another challenge with Latinas en America.  There challenge is to use 3 different papers.  They are an awesome group too.  You should visit us there also.

Well I hope you like it and that you did have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your love ones.
See you soon!!

Fall Blog Hop

Hello my crafty friends.

Welcome to our Thanksgiving/Fall Hop.  Our pride in our den at "Just a few friendz"  have all been busy creating up a festive feast for you this Thanksgiving.  We hope to inspire you all to create a little something to celebrate with over Thanksgiving.  Our challenge and theme this month was to create something for the home in Fall or Thanks Giving colors.  So I decided to make a centerpiece for the table.  Something that you can change up a little.  I show you how it looks with a pumpkin and then with a candle.  You can add anything you want.  I also created a banner that says THANKS.  While prowling around I found one of my favorites paper pads.  K & Company!  Tim Coffey's Halloween and Fall paper.  Got to love it.  Here is the link to my You Tube in case you want to check out the details.  I'm actually happy the way they came out.

Thank you very much for pouncing by and hopping along with us.  Please go to Jules Blog next and see what she's created.  And
if you started here.  Go to Elsa's blog first.  I will add the line up below.  Leave them some love and comments.  Once again thanks for coming by.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Me again

Hello again!!

I know what you're thinking... another one LOL  Yes, I can't help it I love doing sketches.  And Graphicats has another one this week.  It's sketch #19 and it looks like this....

Looks tempting right?   Here is a card I made.  I have 3 birthdays this month,  so one of them
is getting this card  :-)

The reason I choose these colors is because Latinas en America is also having
a challenge
and their challenge is to make some thing using brown and white.

The paper I used is from My minds Eye and it's the "fine and dandy".  The stamp is from C.C. Designs.  Her name is Cupcake Emma.  I purchase her at Not 2 Shabby zibbet store.  And you  know I love my Fanciful Flourish, so I added that.  The flowers are collection and the lace flower I had in my stash but it looks just like the design on the paper.  So I thought it was perfect.

I hope you like the card and I hope you're having a wonderful day.

Hello my crafty friends.

Can you believe it's November already.  Wow, time flies.  Halloween is over and Thanksgiving is around the corner.  I  love Thanksgiving!  Good food, friends, family and football is you watch it.  Most of all it reminds me of how grateful I am to be bless with everything and everyone around me.

But anyway.... I am here today because Graphic 45 is having a contest.  All you have to do is make a Thank You card using their products and post it on their Facebook page.  That's it. :-)  Oh yeah, make sure you label it "November Challenge".

And here is my card...

I used their Bird Song collection.  I fussy cut the lanters and fan from the paper collection.  The wooden thank you is from Jillibean.  Flower is from Wild orchids and some seam binding.  I also used a mini Fanciful Flourish, which I out lined with my gelly roll "clear star" pen.  You can't really see it but it glimmers.  Looks very pretty.  And the charm is from my sweet friend DorothySo what do you think?

I hope you enter the contest too.  They will choose two winners!!
You and me right???  LOL

Thank care and be safe

Good Afternoon Crafters:

Hope all is well and you're enjoying the beginning of fall.  Today I wanted to share with you a circle card I made for a blog challenge that  I Am Roses is having.   Tomorrow is the last day, so I am really cutting it close.  I've been so busy and decided I would skip this one, but wow it is sooooo tempting.  I mean... what a great challenge.  So while my grand daughter took her nap today I made this circle card.  I am also entering this card for this weeks challenge #43 at Latinas en America.  Which is to make a circle card.

In-law's Birthday cards

Hello Crafters

So in the month of October  I have about 5 birthday cards to make.  I know!!!  That's not even including Halloween cards I might want to make.  My in-laws Birthdays are 2 or 3 days apart.  I can't remember.  So, every year I make them each one and mail them together.  LOL  Her Birthday is the 1st of Oct.  And so here they are:

This one for my Mother-in -law I used the Ladies Dairy Graphic 45 paper.   Some pretty lace a friend gave me and flowers from Wild Orchid Craft.  The Birthday stamp is from my sweet friend Stephanie.  A little bit of trim and flat back pearls.  And a pretty fancy button from Joanne's.   So what do you think?

This one is for my Father-in-law.  I used Lost and Found "My Minds Eye" paper, that I picked up at A C Moore while visiting them in Cape Cod for his 80th Birthday party.  My sister Yvonne "ScrapBliss"  gave me a small pack of Dominos, she picked up while vacationing this summer.  So guess what?  Yup, I made sure the Dominos said 8-0.   Cool, don't you think!!  I think he's gonna get a kick out of that.

And Remember I mention those Halloween cards..... Here's one I made for my Swap partner Stephanie at MyScrapRoom.ning.com.  We had a Halloween Tag Mini to make.  You're more then welcome to watch my YT to see the mini if you like.    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DwuDvd0Mpw&feature=share&list=UUoXt62I2e2z_zLr62ZNSNGg
But here is the card:

I used the Graphic 45 paper Happy Haunting.  And the pretty stamp is Devilish Lucy.  I purchased her from Jamie at www.zibbet.com/not2shabbyshop

That's about it guys... But I have 3 more birthday cards coming very soon.  :-)
Do you have lots of Birthdays in October also??

Barbie cake and card

Hello my dear friends

Did everyone have a great Labor Day weekend?  I feel like summer is over.  Fall is just around the corner.  I love the colors of fall and the cool air.  But I do love the summer.  Labor day is not just a holiday weekend for me, its also my grand daughter's birthday.  This year she celebrated her 4th birthday.  A few weeks ago when I asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she quickly gave me a list.  Among the many things she asked me for, she asked me to make her a Barbie cake.  She even had me watch a few You Tube videos showing how to decorate one.  Smart little thing!!!  So guess what I made?  Yes of course!  A Barbie cake.  My very first one.  As she finished her birthday wish list she said "oh yeah Bella, I also want you to make me a card.  That would make me very happy"  OMG!! I would had never though that a card made by me would make her happy.  And yes!!  She also got her card.

Here's a closer  of the card

I used the Disney "Happily Ever After"  Cricut  cartridge for my card and the six by six "A Happy Heart" paper.  I added some bling and a wood laser dollie cut.  And of course nothing is complete without some flowers and lace.  Here is my YT video for this project http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OlmxKL1vZI&list=UUoXt62I2e2z_zLr62ZNSNGg&index=1&feature=plcp  if you want to watch :-)

Thank you all for dropping by.  Let me know what you think of my first Barbie cake.  I have a feeling I'll be making more.  :-)

Altered box, book mark and card

Hello Crafters!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.  I am!!  I didn't have to work this Saturday so it's like a long weekend for me.  I'll take it!  Gives me time to play catch up with my crafts.  But enough of me.  Today I wanted to share with you my project for a swap at MyScrapRoom.  The challenge is to altered a box.   I used the Ladies Diary paper by Graphic 45.  Flowers are from I am Roses and Wild Orchids.  I love the oval frame from Melissa Frances.  I cut a piece of the paper with the lady, inserted it and added some glossy accent.  Lots of bling and yes, that's because I'm also entering this for challenge #36 at Latinas en America.  The challenge is adding pearls and bling.  So I did. I added a  few pears and of course a cameo.  I thought the ornate plate with a phrase from the paper line was a great touch also.  Gave it some legs and Ta-da!

I then made my partner a bookmark.  Everyone needs a book mark.  Right?  Made it with the same paper line.  I used a recollection flower, trim and lace.

But wait!  There is more.  One of my daughters called me this morning and said "Hi mom! I need a baby shower card.  Can you make me one"  I say "yes, of course.  When do you need it by."  "Today!! I'll be there in an hour, is that ok?"
HELP!!!!!
So I run to my craft room and a little more then an hour this is what I came up with.....  Mom to the rescue, again!!!!!

I used Graphic 45 paper.  Little Darling.  Gosh I love those cute images!

Thank you all so much for stopping by.
I would love to hear from you.

Canvas

Hola!!

I hope you are all having a great weekend.  I have been very busy with work and grand babies.  Which is good because it makes my week go by fast.  So today I wanted to share with you a canvas I made.  It's my first one ever!!  Hubby printed this picture for me and it inspired me.  This is a special picture because our daughter surprised him on his 53rd birthday with tickets to the ball game.  Just the two of them and they had a great time.  The best he's had in a long time.

I colored the canvas with acrylic paint.  First black, then some brick red and two shades of blue.  I also used a lot of Tim Holtz embellishments, grungeboard, including the numbers and two sheets of his paper.  The beer caps and burlap were given to me in a swap.  I also used snow-tex to give it a rough texture.   I know it looks white in the picture but it's more of a sky blue.

I hope you like it.  Now I have to find a place to hang it up.  LOL  I am entering this for challenge #35 with Latinas de America.  The challenge is to use paint.  So I used 4 shades of paint.  :-)  Let me know what you think.

A pocket full of love

Hola!!!

I am so super excited.  So, as many of you know I'm a member at MyScrapRoom.ning.com.  Every week Gina has a challenge.  And let me tell you, this week she has an amazing challenge.  You have to use a jean pocket.  That's right!! We all have old jeans we don't wear right?  With your pocket you must add the following:
  • LACE
  • CHARM
  • SAFETY PIN
  • PATTERNED PAPER
  • BEAD TRIM
  • COLOR PINK AND CANNOT BE THE LACE, BEADS, SAFETY PIN, CHARM OR PATTERNED PAPER
For a split second I thought I was in "Craft Wars".    It's like she gave us the materials and said go!!!
LOL  So here is my project:

For my pattern paper I used two pieces and a stamp of the Graphic 45 "Little Darlings".
Oh yes and the butterfly is also from the collection.
My pink is in the flowers.   I have a mix of flowers from "I am Roses' and from "wild orchid".
Of course I had to use a Cherub Angel for the charm to go with my little baby.

I think I'll either glue this to a gift bag or to a lay out.  What would you do?

Thanks for looking!!

I am also entering this for challenge #34 at Latinas en America

hugs

Reto para Latinas en America

Hola everyone!

Hope all is well out there :-)  I've had a long week.  Working long hours and taking care of my grand babies and hardly no time to scrap.  I know right!!!!!  It's crazy.  That's why I made this card as fast as I could.  LOL  An hour in a half!!!  And that's because my grand daughter are on their way.  Which of course I'm happy about.  They make me so happy.  So here it is!  I made it for Challenge #33 at Latinas en America.   and the challenge was "let's use lace"

I used paper from Glitz call Happy Travels.  Miss Anya Bags from the Greeting farm stamp, that my beautiful sister Yvonne bought me.   And the embellishments are from  Melissa Frances.  I also stitched the card with my sewing machine.  Then of course lace from my stash.

So I hope you guys like it and continue to have a great summer.  Please tell me what you think.  I love hearing from you.

Sweet Nothings Creative Challenge

Hello Everyone!

I'm back!  Hope everyone is staying cool and having a great summer so far.  Today I completed a card for the SNSC July 2012 Creative Challenge.  My scrappy sister Yvonne is in their DT and when I went to take a look at what she created,  I fell in love with the "sweet nothings" stamps.  I took a look at their store and there was Sweet Sophie.  So I ordered her right away and ran home to create a card for the challenge.  This is the sketch you have to follow.

Talk about inspiration, right?  I was totally inspired by it, and so this is what I created.

I used Sweet Sophie.  Isn't she just adorable.  I then used pattern paper from K & Company "Handmade" which I picked up at Scrapbucks.  The cute butterfly and the flowers are from the Melissa Frances embellishments.  Except the white and red flower.  That and the bow was from Donna at MyScrapRoom.ning.com.  She gave me those on a swap we had last month.   The mushroom is from the eyelet outlet I picked up at the Expo Center.  Button and twine are from my stash.  Then the sentiment is from Stephanie using the "Everyday Sentiments" at http://www.whimsical-designs.com/  I just love her stamps.  I used them a lot. :-)

So that is my entry!  I hope you all like it.  Let me know what you think.
Have a great day!

Cute simple cards

Hello there!

Is it hot out there or what!!  Hope every one is having a great summer so far.  I've been working and trying to stay cool.  Which means,  I'll stay in doors.  LOL  I did take my grand daughters to the water park a couple of times.  Lucky for me it's walking distance.

So today I just wanted to share with you a few cards I made last month.  My husband's job was having an event for a Children's Hospital.  One of the things they can pick from a list of things to volunteer, was making cards.  So he asked me if I wanted to participate.  I said "yes" of course!  Since I love making cards.  So my beautiful friend Friday http://fridayscreations.blogspot.com/2012/06/cards-for-friend.html and I made some very simple cards.  I use several different cricut cartridges.

The idea was to make these very sick children smile.  I hope and pray that I did with my cards.

Well,  I hope you all stay cool, and have a wonderful 4th of July.
Thanks so much for dropping by :-)

"I Do"

Hey there!!!

Don't you love weekends.  I had to work today Saturday but now I'm home relaxing,  resting  and it feels good.   Tonight I wanted to share with you my project for the I AM ROSES challenge contest.  It has to be monochromatic.  Just whites, creams,  beige, etc.  At first I had no idea what to make but after looking at some pictures and watching other videos I made my decision.   I'll just make a layout!!  Like many of you girls, I have not done much with my wedding pictures.  And so I thought this was a perfect excuse to finally do something.

All of the flowers are from IAR with the exception of one.  Don't you love my ornamental corners.  I love them.  They are from Lindy's Stamp gang.  http://www.lindystampgang.com/ornamental-corners/

The lazer cute window I picked up a couple of years ago at the EXPO convention.  I did forget to mention in the my video that the paper is from Anna Griffin Inc.

Today after work I went to Michael's and picked up a shadow box so I can display it in my home.

Here is my YT video that shows all the details.

I hope you guys like it as much as I do.  Here is the link to the IAR challenge.  Let me know what you think.  I love hearing from you.  So, now go ahead and enter your project.  http://youtu.be/bpMKz-ergo4  and good luck to you :-)
