Pastels

Happy Wednesday Everyone

How are you today?  The poor Ground Hog got it wrong this year.
It's Spring and it's cold out.  We had about 3 inches of snow early this
week.  It was pretty thou.  :-)

This weeks Whimsical Designs challenge is "Pastels."
And here is my project.  A 5 x 5 1/2 card.

We were given this photo below to go by as an inspirational photo.  And we had
to use the colors in this photo.  I think I got the colors right.  Don't you think?

I used the 6 x 6 paper "Quilting Bee" by MME.  The oval shape behind
my fairy is cut with my Spellbinder Nestabilities Lacey Ovales.  The sentiment
"Fluttering by to say hi" is from Whimsical Designs
Everything else is from my stash.  My YT Video.

My beautiful image is "Sewing Fairy."  It's from Beccy's Place who happens
to be our Sponsor for this challenge.  Winner will have 3 digs to choose from.
Now that's a great prize!  So come on over and join us at Whimsical Designs.

Thank you for coming by this Wednesday.  I hope you're having
an awesome week!

Easter Basket Blog Hop

Purrrr!!!!

Spring is here yet it is colder outside then it was just a week ago.
Humm...  What's up with that?  Well, to warm things up here, our Den
at Just a few designs is having a Blog Hop this weekend.
You should be coming from Violet's Den.

Our Mama Head Alpha Elsa challenged us to prowl in our dens and do something
with a Basket.  Anything we wanted!  As long as there was a basket some where.
Even a simple card.  So, I pounced all over my den trying to decided
what to do.  And so I though, well I have to make two basket for my
grand daughters, right?! And that's when I knew what I was going to do.
And here they are....

Basket number 1

and Basket number 2

I just bought the baskets at Michael's.  I used trim all around the baskets.
Added some IAR followers and also a few lady bugs for Jolee's Boutique.
On the 2nd basket I added a flower from my stash at the bottom.
And that's about it.  Very, very simple.  The girls are 4 and 2 years old.
So I didn't want to do to much.
Your next and final stop is Carrie's Den.
Thank you so much for coming by my Den.  I hope you
enjoyed all the Cub's creations.
Roarrrrr!!!!

Here is the line up just in case. :-)

And, the sentiment is from Whimsical Designs.   The rest is from my stash.

Graphicat Sketch #24

Happy Monday!

Hope your weekend was wonderful.  I had a great weekend.  My sister
Yvonne (scrapbliss) and my sweet friend Tereese (Friday) came over
on Saturday and we craft, talked and laughed!  It was wonderful.
Great therapy for the three of us.
Anyway, it's time for sketch #24 at Graphicat Sketchs.  I have to say
that I love this sketch.  This is what I made...

And this is the sketch...

I used the 6 x 6 paper "Market Street" from the lost and found MME.
Love that paper!!  My image is the "The Cavendish Ladies Putting On the Ritz"
by Kanban.  I order from Carleen a while ago.  My corner is from Martha Stewart,
and flowers from recollection and Micheal's.  The sentiment is from Graphicat Stamps.
I hope you come and join us.  It's one of my favorites, and
very easy to put together.  Give it a try :-)

Take care and let me know what you think

and pretty much every thing else is from my stash.  The sentiment is from
"Whimsical fun Vol. 1"  I love the little bottle charm given to me by
my friend Iley a while back.

Love Letter Sophie

Hello everyone

How are you?  Spring is almost here.  Yay!  So that makes me very happy. I can't
complain because we didn't have a bad winter at all.  It's just that I love the Spring.
But anyway, I am here today to share with you a card I made as a DT project for
Sweet Nothings.   And here it is....

I just love the image.  This image is call Love Letter Sophie.  Isn't she beautiful?
I used the 6 x 6 paper "Bramble Rose" by My Minds Eye.
I love the charm from "spare parts" on the seam binding.  Every thing I used
was from my stash.  And I have to admit, I just love the way it came out.
If you want to see the details, check out my You Tube Video.

I love reading your comments, so I hope you do so.

Think Spring/Easter

Hello there

It's Wednesday!  And it is snowing out!  Schools are closed and work
closed.  That means I get to play in my scrap room.
Well, as you know, it's Wednesday which means another challenge
with Whimsical Designs.   This week our challenge is "Think Spring/Easter."
We can make anything we want but, we must include the colors yellow or pink.
Our Sponsor this week is:

Designs on Cloud Nine - $20 Dollar Gift Certificate

I decided to do an 8 x 8 layout.  I'm working on a mini album
for my grand daughter's first year.   So, I can't get to dimensional since
it's going into the album.  This will be her first Easter page.
Designs on cloud 9 gave us some files to work with.
Since I do not have a SVG cutting machine I had to hand cut all the
images you see.  And here is my layout...

The paper I used is from my stash so I'm not sure who the maker is.
All the cute cut outs you see are from Designs on cloud 9.  The
owl on the tree is an eyelet.  Flowers are from Recollections.  Butterfly
is from Michael's.  Flourishes are from "Fancy Flourishes."
And of course the Sentiment.  Which is from
Whimsical Designs call "Whimsical Fun-Vol 1."

I hope you all come and join our challenge.  I can't wait to see
what you create.  Have a great day.

SOUS/Whimiscal Designs blog hop

Hello again

Here I am again.  This time with a Blog Hop.  Stuck on u Sketches and
Whimsical Designs are joining together this weekend for a great Blog Hop.  It's like
double the fun.  If you were sent here from Esther then you are right on track.  The blog
hop begins with Stuck on u sketches.  We have two sponsors for this hop:

1. Patsy-Prairie Bird Boutique: http://www.etsy.com/shop/PrairieBirdBoutique
Winner will recieve their choice of 1 pack of Shabby Crinkle Ribbon

2. Sonia Kertznus: http://www.shopskdigis.com
Winner will reieve a $6.00 Voucher to Sonias store

Here is the sketch we were all given to work with.  Created by Sandi.
Designer for SOUS

And this is my layout that I created using the sketch above.

I love this picture of my youngest daughter and I.  And I was very excited to be able to
finally do something special with it.  I wanted to express and show the beauty of our
relationship in this lay out.  I hope it shows.  I tell you it's much prettier in person. :-)

My sweet daughter knows nothing about scrapbooking, yet she was at Michael's
one day and thought of me.  She gave me a small RAK.  I though it was very sweet,
and thoughtful.  So I added some of it into this project.  The clock and
adorable charm on the right both from Recollection were part of her gift.  I used
the 12 x 12 paper Pink Paislee, the "Butterfly Garden."  The lazer veneer cuts on the
upper right were purchased a while back from Diane.  I can't remember where the
humming bird came from but I did emboss it with Lindy's embossing powder
call "Spanish Moss Green." The cherub angels are from Melissa Frances.
Butterfly from "Flora Doodles."
All the flowers are from I Am Roses.  Except the big one on the left, which I cut from
a trim.  It was ivory and I sprayed it with Lindy's "cape cod coral."  The small cameo
on the lower left is from "The girls paperie."  My title at the bottom from Studio112
was give to me by my sweet friend Nica.  Both trims were from my stash.
And of course,
I finished it up with some bling.  Oh and I almost forgot I used modeling paste.
I used the "mariposas" and the "mini chicken wire" stencils.  I also added a little
to the tips of the flowers.

So now please hop on over to my sweet friend Friday.  She is amazing, so
I'm sure you're going to love what she's created.

Have a great day.  Can't wait to see what you think.
