Let's Sketch it

Me again!

Hi there :-)  It's Wednesdayyyyyyy!  Time for another Whimsical Designs
challenge.  So this week's challenge Stephanie gave us a sketch that was
created by our DT sister Nanne.  And this is what it looks like...

Our sponsor this week is Shelly's Images.  The prize for this weeks challenge
is a $9.00 Voucher.
Shelly was kind enough to give us all this cute and adorable bear.  It's great to see
what we all came up with using the same image.  And here is my project...

I wasn't sure I could color him with my copics, so I decided to color
him with my chalks.  When I sprayed him down with Lindy's
"South Shore Sand" it kind of soften him up a little.  The paper I used is the
6 x 6 "En Francais" collection by Prima, that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. The clock
is from recollection and the bigger flower is from Floral Embelishments by Petaloo.
The smaller flowers and the stamp "Believe" are from Michaels.  The sticker
"create" is from Joanne's, and the chip board hummm, I don't remember. LOL.
And of course I little trim, a butterfly and there you go!!  My project for this week.

Come join us!  And I will see you soon with a blog hop coming up this weekend.
You won't want to miss it...

If you have any good advice on coloring with chalk, please tell me.
I can use all the help I can get :-)

Kite Flying Sophie

Hello everyone

Yvette here with my very first DT project.  This is very exciting for me because I love
Sweet Nothings Stamp Company.  So, for my first project I made a card using
Kite flying Sophie.  She is just super adorable.  And here it is...

I used the 6 x 6 paper pad call "Fly a Kite" by Lime twist.  The burlap tree and acorn stickers
came from Michaels.  The flowers I added are hand made.  Then to finish it off I added some
lace and twine from my stash as well as the dove.  And that's about it.   You can watch
my You Tube video for more details.   I hope you enjoyed my card and I hope you go
and check Sophie out.  They are just to cute to pass up.

Thanks for coming by and commenting.
Have a great day

Going Green

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I kind of look forward to Wednesdays for two reasons...
1 - We made it half way to the weekend.  Just half more to go!
2 - A new challenge!!  At Whimsical Designs!
Our challenge this week is "Going Green."  You have to make something, anything
you like and use the color green.  Our sponsor this week is "A Day For Daisies"
The prize is a $12.00 Gift Certificate :-)  In my project I am using one of their digis.
The image that I choose is call "Basket Bonnet."

This is my project...

I made a card using a lot of green.  LOL  I started with the 6 x 6 paper pad
"Bramble Rose" by MME.  I though a piece of burlap would look cool.  Then I added
the little house from Recollection, the wood veneer bike, butterfly from Melissa Frances,
and some flowers from Michaels.  My digi, which I colored with my copics, and of course
some trim and seam binding to complete my card.  The sentiment "sweet friend" is from
Stephanie's beautiful stamp collection call "Everyday Sentiments."

And that's about it for today.
I hope you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Have a good day sweet friend.

Graphicats Sketch #22

Hello my beautiful friends

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.  My weekend went by very fast.  I had to work

What can we do?  Monday is here and that's a good thing because that means I have
a project for you.  Yay... my DT project for Graphicats.  Here is sketch #22...

And this is a card I made using this awesome Sketch created by Cheri herself...

I used the 6 x 6 paper pad "Breeze" by MME.  The sentiment is from
Graphicats.  And the digi is call "Hollywood." I hope you go
and try it out.  It was a fun and easy sketch to work with.

Thanks for coming by and I look forward to your comments.

Three, two, one

Happy Wednesday!

Yes, it's Whimsical Wednesday today!  I have another DT project for you.
This time Stephanie challenged us to do a "Three, two, one" project.  Which means
three of something, two of something and one of something.  For example - three buttons,
two bling, one ribbon.  And here is want I created...

I used the 6 x 6 paper stack "Bramble Rose" by My mind's eye.  I just love this paper.
For my three I added three butterflies from Melissa Frances.  Then for my two I added
two ribbons I picked up at T J Max.  And, finally for my one I added one metal heart from
Recollections. I then added some flowers from Michaels, and Recollections, and
punched out a couple of leaves to add to the flowers.  The digi image I used is from
Sweet Nothings.  The adorable couple is call "Lovey Dove Sophie and Lucky."
They are so cute!  And to finish off the card I added the sentiment
"Today tomorrow always" from the "With Love."  And yes, I little bling in the
corner.  My You Tube for this project.

I hope you come and join our challenge.  Our sponsor for this challenge is...

The Robin’s Nest - $10.00 Gift Certificate

I hope you are having a great day and I would love to hear from you :-)

Red and Pink

Hi!

What a weekend.  I know a lot of you got tons of snow.  I hope you are all doing well.
My brother who lives in NY posted some great pictures of him and my Dad on his FB.
And wow 3 feet of snow in Boston!!  We just got a lot rain and winds here.

Well today I want to show you really quick a couple of Valentine's Day
cards I made yesterday.  My friend's son asked me to make one.  So I made two.
This way he can pick which one he likes better.  And here they are...

I used the paper stack "Love" by Recollection.  Yes again :-)  I have several
projects with that paper now.  LOL  The angel is from Martha Stewart.
The die cuts are from K & Company and the heart is from "the girls paperie."
The sentiment on both of them is from Whimsical Designs call "With Love."
And yes flowers from I Am Roses.

I'm entering both cards to Latinas en America's challenge.  Which
is Red and Pink.  Wish me luck :-)

And again thanks for stopping by.

Valentine's Gift Bag

Hello every one.

Wow!  Valentine's Day is getting closer and closer.  This weekend is our February
Blog Hop with Just a Few Friends.   Elsa has challenge us all to create a Valentine gift
bag.  So, we have all been in our Dens creating and altering bags.  We are to use
only RED, PINK, BROWN, and BLACK colors.  We could use any combination
as long as you use those colors.  If you're starting here you might want to go back
and start with Elsa first.  But if you're here from Sherence's Den then you're okay.

This is a special Hop because we have a new Cub in the PRIDE!  Many of you
already know her.  So a big welcome to Carrie.  This is her first hop so please go
visit her at her Den and show her some love, and a little TLC.

Now lets pounce onto my project.  And this is it.....

I used a red paper bag and decorated it with paper from Recollection call
"Love."  I also made a matching card to go with it.  The dies are all from
K & Company, the "Ephemera Pack."  Flowers from Michaels except for the
one I made using felt.  The key is from Recollection.  And the ribbon
and trim is from my stash.

Ok so this gift bag has a little green, but so darn cute not to show off.  While I
was waiting at CVS I found a perfect gift for my grand daughters and I needed a gift bag.
This is the only one I had a home to altered.  But if you ignore the green then it's perfect.
:-)  I used the Criters Cricut cartridge.  I added some eyes to the squirrel and some glitter
to the nose.  Then I added some lace and trim.

Here is my YT for my project... You Tube

Okay, so now your next stop is Jules.  Let's go check her out :-)

Textiles

Happy Wednesday!

I like Wednesdays.  It means the week is half over and only half way to go!
It also means that today we start a new challenge at Whimsical Wednesday.
It's so wonderful to see so many project with just a simple theme.

This weeks theme is "textiles."  You must create something by adding
ribbon, lace, twine or any other type of textile.  Sounds like fun, right?
Here is my project:

While I was taking pictures, my 4 year old grand daughter kept jumping in.  Yes, I took
others without her but she was having so much fun jumping in and laughing so hard
that I decided to use this picture with her cute little hand in it.  LOL

For this card I used the 6 x 6 paper stack "Love" by Recollections.
The sweet girl is from a "Gorjuss" stamp and her name is "Sitting."
My textiles are the lace at the bottom,  an aluminum silver trim of hearts,
seam binding and the crochet heart doily.  My sentiment is from one of Stephanie's
stamp collection,  "With Love."  Last but not least the flowers are from Michael's.

And that is my project for this Wednesday.  Now lets see yours with
textiles. Our sponsor is:
Freckled Fawn is giving the winner of this challenge a $20.00 gift certificate
to their store. Thank you Freckled Fawn.

And thank you for coming by
big hugs,
Yvette

Graphicat Sketch 21

Hello... and here I am!  Again!

It's Monday!!  Notice how the older you get the faster those Mondays come.  when
I work on Saturdays, Mondays seem to sneak up on me.  That is what happened
this weekend.  On the good side, I'm off next Saturday which means I might
be ready for next Monday.  :-)

But anyway my sweet bloggie friends here is Graphicats Sketch # 21.

And..... this is what I created :-)

I used the 6 x 6 paper call "Plumeria" from Basic Grey.  The stamp image is
from Scrapbook Stamp Society by Sherri Baldy.  It is call
"We can do it 2."  All the other trims and pearls are from my stash.
And of course you have the have a sentiment from Graphicat's stamp.
What a great sentiment for someone with a great sense of humor.

I hope you liked my card and I hope you will give this challenge
a try.  Sketches are so much fun!
Don't forget to check out Graphicat's stamps while you are there.

Let me know what you think.  I love your comments.

A couple of months ago my sister Yvonne came over to scrapbook with me and she had
two snow globes.  One for herself and one for me.  She said this is our challenge.  Let's
do something with this and then see what we created individually.  So, this is mine!
I used a cute out die that I picked up at Micheals.  And lots of I Am Roses.
I also used the stamp "Be MIne" from Whimsical Designs stamp set
With Love.  I even distressed the tag with Tim Holts Victorian Velvet.
A little bit of trim and there you go.  A sweet snow globe.

Here is my YT video in case you want to take a closer look at it.
