Give Thanks Blog Hop

Hello everyone

Welcome to the Whimsical Designs "Give Thanks" Blog Hop.  You should have
arrived here from Elisabetta  If you need to start from the beginning of the hop,
head on over to Whimsical Design's blog.  I hope you find some inspiration and
create something beautiful for the holidays.

For my project I created a center piece for my table.  I did one very similar
last year and gave it to my daughter so I decided to make another one for myself.
I bought a round foam and fall flowers at Micheals.  I added some paper
and wrapped a pretty ribbon around the foam. Then I glued all the flowers
around it.  I also added some butterflies to the flowers.
As soon as I saw this pumpkin I knew I had to take it home, because it
was different from the traditional pretty orange.
I sat it on top and there it is, my new center piece for the fall.

So now your next stop is Nannes blog.  Some of the girls are having give a ways.
So you don't want to miss out.  Keep hopping and have a beautiful day.

Thanks for coming by.

Meet Kat

Hello my crafty friends.

Hope you are all enjoying the last days of summer.  It has been so hot this
week here in Virginia.   It feels like mid July.  But I am not complaining
because I know that Fall is just around the corner.  And speaking of Fall.
Last week I introduced "Devlyn".  One of Elsa's new stamps from her
2nd release.  Today our DT the Sassy6 and I have some awesome projects
to share with you.  I am very happy to introduce to you "Kat".
She is another robot and as beautiful as Devlyn.

Meet Kat!!

I used the graphic 45 paper "Steampunk Spells."  I just love the bird on the
branch which I added some snow tex to. Then I added a lamp from Recollection and
a corchete flower that I ordered on FB.  I had so much fun coloring Kat with my copics.

Hopefully you got to see everyone's blog,
and came to me from Sherain's blog.
I am the last one of the Sassy 6,
and I want to thank you all for hopping along with us.
We all had a blast working with our new stamps.  So go on over to
Elsa's blog check out all her stamps.  Make sure to tag one of us so we can see
what you create with the stamp.
Take care!

Rapunzel welcome sign

Hello everyone

I hope your weekend was as much fun as mine.  My grand daughter had
her 5th birthday party this weekend.  So we invited Rapunzel and Flynn to
the party.  I made them a welcome sign to greet them and all our guest, and
so I wanted to share that with you :-)

I cut the letters with my Cricut using the Plantin SchoolBook cartridge.
Then I trim the edges with my Martha Stewart punch "eyelet lace."
Added some flowers and a long braid with yarn sprayed with Lindy's
"Clam Bake Beige" to match Rapunzel's hair.

That's about it!  I was very happy with it and so were our guest.
What do you think?

Take care :-)

Devlyn

Well hello!!

I know it's been forever since my last blog.   I think it goes without saying that
summers are very busy for a lot of us.   I hope you all had a great summer with lots
of memories to scrap about.

Today is a special day.  Today my good friend Elsa Just a few designs is having another
stamp release.  So my Sassy sisters and I from Just a few Designs
are having a blog hop just for you so you can check
out all her stamps.

The last release was such a great hit that she ran out of a few stamps.  Well, they
are now back!  And now for this weeks release.... I use the stamp "Devlyn"

Isn't she perfect? I colored her with my copics and then
embellished all around her.  Most of the materials that I used were given to me
by Elsa in her DT kit.  I added the hat for fun, which I totally love.

Since I am the last one on the list, I want to thank you all for hopping along with us.
Go pick up your stamp and make sure to tag us so we can see what you create with
these beautiful stamps.
We will be back next week with another project using another stamp.

Take care

Going Buggy with WW

Happy Wednesday!

Hello my scrappy friends.  I hope you are all having a great summer.
It's Wednesday!!  Another DT Whimsical Wednesday project for
Whimsical Designs.  This week Stephanie challenged us to "go buggy."
We had to create a project that includes an insect or animal.  Our sponsor this week
QKR Stampede was so sweet to let us pick a digi for our projects.  I picked the
beaver.  I love his glasses.  I colored him up with my copic markers.

I made an 8 x 8 layout.  Yes, I am determine to finish my grand daughters mini album.
I didn't layer it to much, again because it's going inside a photo album.  I'm just excited
to finally be working on it.  The paper is from the 12 x 12 "The Neapolitan collection.
Everything else is from my stash.  The sentiment is from the Whimsical fun vol. 1.

Please join us with this challenge.  I would love to see your buggy friends.
The prize is 5 digis of winners choice.

Take care my friends.
Big hugs!

Pile it up for WW

Hello there

Happy Wednesday!  I just got back from Cape Cod late last night.  It's always
great to come home after a few days.  I always forget how beautiful the
Cape is until I'm there again.

Well today Stephanie's challenge with Whimsical Designs is to Pile it Up!!!
We had to make a project that includes at least 3 layers and 2 or more
embellishments.  Our sponsor this week is the same as last week.
Yup!  The Paper Parade!  And here is my card all piled up...

I used the 6 x 6 paper stack "Ginger" from Indie Chic, and another paper
but I can't remember which one. I'm not sure LOL. I did some stitching
with my sewing machine on the paper.  I went around it twice to give it
that look.  I used a rub on from Michael's, which is really a candelabra.
So I rubbed it upside down to make it look like a chandelier.  Then
I added some pearls as light bulbs.  I think it's pretty neat.
The image you see is "Andrea's Halo." Isn't she just adorable and sexy?
To complete my card I added some flowers,
buttons, and an adorable butterfly.  And of course the sentiment is from the
stamp set "Everyday Sentiments."   Great stamp set!

So let's see you pile it up.  Come play with us and maybe you can be the
winner this week for Whimsical Designs.  Prize is a 15$ certificate
from...

Take care and big hugs

Favorite Color with WW

Hello there!

Happy Wednesday everyone!  It's time for another
challenge with Whimsical Designs.  Ok, so this week Stephanie
challenged us to create with our favorite colors.  So our sponsor
The Paper Parade asked us what our favorite colors were. Then she
sent us all a kit with the colors in it.  I don't really have a favorite
but I do love pink and brown.  So I told her pink and brown.
Well, I received a wonderful kit and made a 6 X 6 layout.
I still have some things left that I will be using soon.
And here it is...

Every thing I used is from the paper Authentique "cherish two" paper.
I added the flowers and bling from my stash.  The "precious" is also from
The Paper Parade.  I'm going to place it in my grand daughter's album that
I'm making for her.  That's why it's not very dimensional.  The sentiment
"Sprinkled with love" is from Whimsical Designs.
"With Love".

So come by and take the challenge.  The prize is a $15.00 certificate.

Have a great day!
hugs
Yvette

Clean and Simple with WW

Hello there

It's hump day!  And yes!  You got it.  It is time for another challenge with
Whimsical Designs.  This week Stephanie challenged us to made a card
"Clean and Simple" with minimum layers and embellishments.  This was
very hard because I wanted to add and I had to back off!! LOL  I kept
saying to myself "leave it, and walk away."  LOL  And I did :-)
So here it is.... my clean and simple card.

I used paper from the 6 x 6 paper pad "Reunion."  The mushrooms are eye lets that
I had in my stash.  The cute image is from our sponsor this week Crafty Sentiments.
His name is Henry the Mushroom Bear.
She was so sweet to send us each 3 images and I picked this one for today.
And then my sentiment is from Whimsical Designs "Everyday Sentiments."

The winner for this weeks challenge will receive 3 digis of winners choice.

Again thank you for visiting me and please feel free to leave a comment.
Big hugs to all

Smash book / junk journals

Hello crafters!!

Boy it's hot out there and I love it!!  My grand babies are in Disney
and so I am catching up with some backed up projects.  I bet you know the
feeling.  Well today I wanted to share with you two Smash books I made
for my daughter's co worker.  They are both 6 X 9

On this one I used Andrea's Halo stamp by my sweet friend Elsa from
Just a few Designs.  I just love her.  This is my 4th project using her.  I know!
I'm out of control but look at her.  I think you should get one also.

Then on this one I used the Prima doll stamp which I also love.  I then fussy cut her
outfit.  All the flowers on both books are from IAR.  A lot of Tim Holts goodies
and some embellishments from my stash.

She said she loved them and I hope you like them too.  I hope you continue to
have a great summer.  As always thank you for coming by and please let me know
what you think.  I love hearing from you.

Hugs

Christmas in July with WW

Hello my crafty friends

How are you today?  It's raining pretty hard out today.  I just hope tomorrow is nice
since it's the 4th of July tomorrow.   Well, today is another Whimsical Wednesday
challenge.  Stephanie challenged us to "Christmas in July".  First I though,
Christmas?  But you know what?  I loved it!  I love Christmas and the feeling was
wonderful.  So, I am happy to say I enjoyed making this card.

The paper I used for the image and the back round is from Tim Holtz.  I cut the cute
little reindeer with my cricut, using the "Paper Doll Dress Up" cartridge.  The ribbon
is from a swap I did with Gina and then to finish it off buttons and bling from my stash.
My sentiment is from Whimsical Designs "Snow Much Fun"

Our sponsor this week is... "The Robins' Nest"
And the Prize: Christmas Package worth $25

Thank you for coming by and as always I hope I inspired you in some way.
Good luck and have a wonderful holiday tomorrow.

ATC ~ WW

Hello everyone,

It's Wednesday!  Another DT project for you from Whimsical Designs.
I just love being challenge every week with something different.  This week
I was excited because our challenge is an "ATC".  The reason I"m excited is
because I have not made one in a while and I forgot how much fun they are to
make.  So of course I went crazy and made two.  Yes!  Just got it out of my
system.  LOL   Here they are...

Ok so this one here is the one for this challenge.  I used paper from "Pink Paislee".
The image you see is from our sponsor this week.  SKdigis.   They let us choose an
image to work with and this cute little monkey was my choice.
I added some flowers from Wild Orchids and some goodies from my stash.
The sentiment is from the Whimsical Fun Vol.1 stamp set.
And of course both cards are at 2 1/2 X 3 1/2.

With this one here I used Graphic 45 paper "My Ladies Dairy"  The dress form
is from Lindys.  I also used here some goodies from my stash and the sentiment
is from Whimsical Fun Vol. 1 as well.

And that is it for today.  This week our prize is from SKdigis and their prize
is a $6. voucher.
Hava a great day!  Thanks for coming by.  Let me know what you think.
Hugs

In case you missed yesterdays post just scroll down to the post before this one.
My beautiful friend Elsa just released her own stamp set.  10 of them!
They are fun and beautiful.  They will all be available starting tomorrow.
I went ahead and created yet another card.  And, here it is...

I think she is adorable.  As soon as I saw her I though of a card for a sweet little girl.
And I made it happen.  I used the 6 x 6 paper pad "C'est la VIE" by Melissa Frances.
Flowers and ribbon is from Elsa.  The little baby in the cradle is a button I picked up
at Micheals.  Then I finished it off with some pearls from my stash.  I did color her
with my copics as well.

I hope you take the time to see the other images and go over to Elsa's blog.  Tell her
I sent you and she will be picking a winner from my blog for a special prize.  She
will also be giving away some kits with every purchase starting tomorrow.

mini clear stamps.  You don't want to miss out.  The images are just beautiful.
Go to Elsa's blog and mention that I sent you.  She will be picking one winner
from each of our blogs for a prize.

Here is the card I made using one of the two images she sent me.
Her name is "Andrea's Halo."  I love her wild hair.  It reminds
me of my daughter when she had long hair like that.

For my card I use the Graphic 45 paper "Le Romantique."  As for the
embellishments they were from my stash and from Elsa who was so sweet to
send us a package.  Here is the link to my You Tube Video.
