Card, junk journal and box

Hello my friends.

How is everyone doing today?  Looks like Fall weather is almost
here.  I love the Fall colors but not what follows.... Shhh Winter!
I don't like Winter but I guess it's comforting to know that Spring
will follow.  And that's good.  :-)

So today I want to share 3 things I made for my design team project

I used a lot of beautiful items from Mel's shop on this card.  I then sent it
to my mother in law for her birthday, along with the following junk journal I
made for her also using items from the shop.

Here is my You Tube video on this card and book if you
want to check them out more closely.
I also altered the following box.

Now this little box was fun.  I believe I picked it up once at
the dollar store.  It's very simple yet cute.  Here is the
You Tube video on this altered box.

And that is it for today.  I hope you are all having a wonderful day.

Die Cutting Divas sketch challenge

Hello friends,

I am happy to say that I was asked to be a guest for the
Die Cuttin Divas.   The challenge is a sketch, which is one
of my favorite things to do.   I find it challenging and inspiring.

So here is my take on the sketch that follows:

For my image I choose Olaf.  I used the new Frozen Cricut cartridge.
I had fun cutting him out at about 4 inches.   The paper pad I used is call
"The Sweetest thing ~ tangerine" by My Mind's Eye.

I hope you're having a great day and thanks again Diva's for having me
as your guest.

Hugs,
Yvette

Pile it up for WW

Hello there

Happy Wednesday!  I just got back from Cape Cod late last night.  It's always
great to come home after a few days.  I always forget how beautiful the
Cape is until I'm there again.

Well today Stephanie's challenge with Whimsical Designs is to Pile it Up!!!
We had to make a project that includes at least 3 layers and 2 or more
embellishments.  Our sponsor this week is the same as last week.
Yup!  The Paper Parade!  And here is my card all piled up...

I used the 6 x 6 paper stack "Ginger" from Indie Chic, and another paper
but I can't remember which one. I'm not sure LOL. I did some stitching
with my sewing machine on the paper.  I went around it twice to give it
that look.  I used a rub on from Michael's, which is really a candelabra.
So I rubbed it upside down to make it look like a chandelier.  Then
I added some pearls as light bulbs.  I think it's pretty neat.
The image you see is "Andrea's Halo." Isn't she just adorable and sexy?
To complete my card I added some flowers,
buttons, and an adorable butterfly.  And of course the sentiment is from the
stamp set "Everyday Sentiments."   Great stamp set!

So let's see you pile it up.  Come play with us and maybe you can be the
winner this week for Whimsical Designs.  Prize is a 15$ certificate
from...

Take care and big hugs

Beach Bum Lucky

Hello there

How are you all doing?  Today I want to share a simple card with you that
I created for my DT project with SNSC.  I decided to use Beach Bum Lucky
since it's hot out and a lot of people are thinking about the beach.  So, here is my
cute and simple sweet card.

I used the 6 x 6 paper pad call "Sunshowers" by Heidi Grace.  The chipboard
embellissements are from Me and My big ideas.  I also added a piece of mesh that
I had in my stash. I did color Lucky with my copics and popped him
up with pop dots.  And so my sweet friends this is my simple card for today. :-)
I hope you are all enjoying your summer so far.
You Tube Video  for this card.

Stay safe and big hugs

Graphicat Sketch #26

Hello my friends

I hope every one had a fun weekend and a great Mother's Day.
My weekend was wonderful.  I spent it with my beautiful family.  And now it's
a new week.  Yay!  So... we are starting it off with a new sketch from

This is the sketch we had to follow...

And this is my card following the sketch....

The paper I used is from the 6 x 6 paper pad from Basic Grey and it's call
"Konnichiwa".  The middle flower is from IAR and the other two my sister gave
to me in a RAK.  The metal embellishment you see, I purchased from Monica
at the scrap yard on YT.

That's about it.  I hope you liked my sentiment.  It's from Graphicat.
Take care and don't forget to have fun!

Bike Ride Sophie and Lucky

Happy Monday Everyone

I hope you all started the week with a big smile.  If you didn't then this should
make you smile.  My DT project this month with Sweet Nothing Stamp Co.
is one of our new images that was just release this month.  I used Bike Ride
Sophie and Lucky.  How cute!!!

I needed to make a Mother's Day card for my Mother in Law, and at the same
time I had to make something for my project.  Well these guys look like hubby and
I and so I though it was perfect.  She lives in Florida, so inside I wrote that
we biked all the way to Florida to wish her a happy Mother's Day.  She loves my
cards so I though she would love that.

I used the Romance Novel paper from Prima.   All flowers are from IAM.
The gold one you see is a button, and I believe it's from Joann's.  Then of course
my little birdie from Recollection.  Oh let's not forget the lace from my stash.

I hope she likes it.  Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Mother's out there.
Big hugs

He thought it was great.   I used the 6 x 6 paper call "Hey Boy" by
Basic Grey.  Every thing I used was from my stash.

"Bling"

Hello Beautiful Bloogers

It's Wednesday!! The middle of the week!  To me it means,  just a
couple more days for the weekend.  Humm do I sound excited?  I have
no idea why because I do have to work on Saturday, but I don't mind it
at all.  I like it and it's still "the weekend!!"  Wooo Hooo!

So for today's project with Whimsical Designs, our theme is "Bling."
That's an easy one, right?  I made this birthday card for my grand daughters
to give to their Mom for Mommy's Birthday.  They loved it and so
did my daughter.

And here it is.....

The paper that I used is from the 12 x 12 stack "The Neapolitan Collection"
by Recollections.  The banner is from the paper also which I stamped the letters
using my wooden stamps.   Flowers are from Michael's, turtle from Jolee's Boutique.
The little strawberries are eye lets.
BLING! yes,  I added bling in 3 different places.  Even a little one on her bow.

The image I used is from our Sponsor this week.  Her name is
Strawberry Emma.  They let us pick one.  OMG, There were so many
to pick from but I loved this one.  Soooo cute!!

Sponsor: The Paper Nest Dolls - 3 copics of winner's choice,
5 if they use a Paper Nest Dolls image

That's right!  Copic Markers!!!!

So go on over and add your project.
Have a beautiful day.

Gift Giving Sophie

Hello my friends,

Hope you are all doing well.  The weather here is crazy.  Last week it was
warm and this week it's cold out.  But, anyway today I have a special DT project
with Sweet Nothings Stamp Co.  I made a Birthday Card, and it's special to me
because I made it for my daughter.  My oldest is having a Birthday!  How
time flies.  30 years ago I held her in my arms and today she holds her
own babies in her arms.  I'm very proud of her.  She's an amazing girl.
Happy Birthday Sweetie!

This is her birthday card...

I used the 6 x 6 paper "Tea-Thyme" paper by Prima.  The beautiful image
is "Gift Giving Sophie."  All the flowers are from I Am Roses.
The sentiment is a clear stamp by Fiskars call "All year Greetings."
I aded a few buttons. The border on the right is a Martha Steward punch
call "Swirly Laces."  Here is my You Tube Video on this card.

I hope you enjoyed my card.  I can't wait to give it to my daughter this weekend.
Let me know what you think.
