Pink Dress Card

Hello my crafty friends.

I just have to share with you this cute dress card I made
for one of my DT projects with Mel's Craft Boutique
While on Pinterest looking for ideas, I saw many cute dress
cards. I even found a few patterns on them.  After looking around
I decided to go with this pattern.

I used a few items from my DT package from Mel's Zibbet shop.
Here is my YT Video on all the details of this card.
Go check out her shop.   She has lots of great items that I know
you will love.

Thanks for coming by!

Creative Color Challenge #14

Hi everyone

How is your summer going?  Mine is great so far.
Today I wanted to share with you my Color Challenge.
As some of you know Archana has a
Color Challenge every month.  I just love the color
palett she picked out this month.  They are
red, bhite and Blue.  And you must use a banner.
This is the card I am entering this month.

And here is her color palette.

I used regular blue and white card stock for the background.
The red paper is from My mind's eye "Quilting Bee."
The banner is from another paper also by My minds's eye call
"Playdate"  The HELLO is a wood veneer that I picked up
at Micheal's.  And the beautiful fence is a spellbinders die.

So that's it my friends.  You might want to go over and join
the challenge.  I'm mailing this card to my Dad who's birthday
was on July 4th.   I know,  just a few days late LOL

Thanks for stopping by

Color challenge for Archana

Hello my craft friends

It's been a while since I've posted any thing.
I hope you are all doing well.
Today I wanted to share a card I made for a challenge.
Our sweet friend Archana has challenge us to create a card
using 3 colors from the picture below and use a stick pin.

The colors are just beautiful.  And here is my 5 X 51/2
card that I created.

I am super excited that I found the paper pad "Bonjour" by Kaiser Craft,
It had all the colors I needed.  My image is Miss Anya.
I added a beautiful stick pin given to me by my
friend Stephanie.  I also stamp a Prima doily stamp
that my sweet friend Iley gave my for my birthday.
The butterflies are from the paper collection and every
thing else is from my stash.
Here is the link to my You tube video for this card.

I hope you are all having a wonderful Scrappy day!!!

Just a Few Desings ~ Day one ~ Stamp Release #1

Hello, hello

Today is a VERY big day!  I am so happy and very proud of my sweet and wonderful
friend Elsa from "Just a few friends".  She has been working very hard for this moment.
And as her friend I am happy to share this wonderful news.  Elsa had created her
very own stamps.  She has drawn all the images herself.  Today her Design Team
named by her as the "The Sassy 6" are featuring some of her new stamps.
There is a total of 10 stamps right now and more coming.  Today is day "one" of
her new release.  But, you want to come back tomorrow because tomorrow will
be day "two" of her new release and then...... Ready??  They will be available for
you on Saturday June 22nd.

Elsa is having giveaways as well as card kits and
mini clear stamps.  You don't want to miss out.  The images are just beautiful.
Go to Elsa's blog and mention that I sent you.  She will be picking one winner
from each of our blogs for a prize.

Here is the card I made using one of the two images she sent me.
Her name is "Andrea's Halo."  I love her wild hair.  It reminds
me of my daughter when she had long hair like that.

For my card I use the Graphic 45 paper "Le Romantique."  As for the
embellishments they were from my stash and from Elsa who was so sweet to
send us a package.  Here is the link to my You Tube Video.
I really hope you liked my card and I hope you come
back tomorrow for "Day Two ~ First Release"

To be sure you see all 10 images you will want to check all our blogs in
the next 2 days.

WW Getting Patriotic

Happy Wednesday!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day.  My daughter and her hubby took
my hubby out to dinner on Saturday and then on Sunday they invited us for dinner.
So I guess it's safe to say he had a good weekend.

For our challenge this week with Whimsical Designs, Stephanie challenge us to make
something patriotic and use the colors red, white and blue.  Our sponsor who is
Eureka Stamps let us have an image for our project.  I picked "Liberty Balloon Holder".
But as you can see I didn't use a balloon.  Actually I didn't even realize her name until
now.  So just pretend, as my grand daughter would say, that you see a balloon.
I think it would look cute. :-)  And here it is...

Everything that I used was from my stash.  Loose paper from Micheals or Joannes.
Stars are from recollection.  The light blue flower with the clear stone you see
was made by Stephanie herself about a year ago when we participated in a swap
together.  The sentiment is from her stamp set "Everyday Sentiments"

Our sponsor will be giving away 5 digis of the winners choice.
Good luck and I will be back soon with another project.

hugs

Just A Few Friends Father's Day Blog Hop

Hello

How are you?  I hope the answer to that was great!! I am because I'm off today :-) Yay!
Today we are having our Father's Day card Blog hop with Elsa at Just a few designs.
Hopefully you started the hop with Elsa and now you're coming to me from Sherain.

Elsa challenged us this month to create a Father's Day card.  It was lots of fun discussing
this in our  FB group since many of us have a hard time creating masculine cards.  For my
cards I was inspired by my grand daughters.  Since I will be giving these to them to give
away I decided to create through their eyes, if that makes any sense to you.
I know what they like and so this is what I came up with....

For the first one I used the 6 x 6 paper "Playdate" by MME.  I added some scrabble
pieces to go with the sentiment which is a Fiskars clear stamp set.  On the second card
the first layer paper is from "On the bright side" also from MME.  The second paper is
from Tim Holtz.  I used a Bingo card and the sentiment is from Joanne's dollar bin.
The mustache is from Spare parts as well as the washi tape.  Then the scrabble pieces,
and two cards done for their Daddy and their Papa.  Here is my YT Video for details.

Since I am the last one on the line up, I want to thank you all for hopping
along with us.  I hope that we all have inspired you in some way and that you had
fun.  Maybe tag us and show us what you create.  And have a wonderful
Father's Day with those you celebrate with.

Graphicat Special Birthday Card.

Hello friends

I hope you all had a great weekend.  This week our design team for
Graphicat sketches all agreed with Cheri that we would make a special
birthday card for a special sweet little girl, who's story touched us all.

Here is the story...

Ladies I need your help! quick story I met a wonderful lady through FB playing a game I no longer play. A friend via a friend kinda thing. Her name is Daylyn Michael and she is a fellow military spouse. Her husband Josh survived two Iraq deployments and was medically discharged due to brain trauma from 2 IED explosions. On November 15th 2012 , in Midland Tx, in a parade to honor veterans, a Union Pacific train slammed into the float carrying the 2 of them. He did not survive, Daylen survived without a scratch because her courageous husband threw her from the float so her children would not be orphans. She has asked her friends for a small favor their daughter is turning 8 on the 20th. Her first birthday without her dad. Daylen wants to make it special and all she is asking is that we flood her daughter with cards. Would anyone be willing to send her one?

Here is my Birthday card for Maci...

I used the 6 x 6 paper "Sweet Fairy" by Prima.  The image is "Cupcake Emma"
by C.C. Designs.  Colored her with my copics. I cut the Gazebo with my Cricut,
using the "Freshly Picked" cartridge at 3 1/2 inches. Everything else is from my stash.

If anyone wants to make a birthday card for Maci,  you can ask any
of us DT members and we will gladly send it to you.

Entering it into these challenges

Have a wonderful day

Shaped Card

Happy Wednesday!!!

What?  Wednesday again?  Feels like the older I get the faster the days go by.
But on the good side, it means another Whimsical Wednesday! Yes, another
great challenge.  This week we challenge you to create a shaped card.
Anything you want, just not square.  And here is my DT project for you...

I decided to go with a scallop round card.  I cut this shape with my cricut at
5 inches.  I used the "Birthday Bash" Cricut cartridge, on page 38 and cut
it with regular card stock.  The brick stencil I purchased with Sa Crafters, and
then I used modeling paste to give it a brick wall look since my bug is sitting
on what seems to me like stairs.  My sentiment is from Whimsical Designs
and it's from the "Everyday Sentiments" stamp set.
The image is from Creating Bug On the Loose
Who by the way, is our sponsor this week.

Sponsor: Creating Bug on the Loose - Set of 4 digital stamps; below

That's about it.  Everything else I used is from my stash.  I hope
you all have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by.

This weeks Whimsical Designs challenge is "Pastels."
And here is my project.  A 5 x 5 1/2 card.

We were given this photo below to go by as an inspirational photo.  And we had
to use the colors in this photo.  I think I got the colors right.  Don't you think?

I used the 6 x 6 paper "Quilting Bee" by MME.  The oval shape behind
my fairy is cut with my Spellbinder Nestabilities Lacey Ovales.  The sentiment
"Fluttering by to say hi" is from Whimsical Designs
Everything else is from my stash.  My YT Video.

My beautiful image is "Sewing Fairy."  It's from Beccy's Place who happens
to be our Sponsor for this challenge.  Winner will have 3 digs to choose from.

Graphicat Sketch #24

Happy Monday!

Hope your weekend was wonderful.  I had a great weekend.  My sister
Yvonne (scrapbliss) and my sweet friend Tereese (Friday) came over
on Saturday and we craft, talked and laughed!  It was wonderful.
Great therapy for the three of us.
Anyway, it's time for sketch #24 at Graphicat Sketchs.  I have to say
that I love this sketch.  This is what I made...

And this is the sketch...

I used the 6 x 6 paper "Market Street" from the lost and found MME.
Love that paper!!  My image is the "The Cavendish Ladies Putting On the Ritz"
by Kanban.  I order from Carleen a while ago.  My corner is from Martha Stewart,
and flowers from recollection and Micheal's.  The sentiment is from Graphicat Stamps.
I hope you come and join us.  It's one of my favorites, and
very easy to put together.  Give it a try :-)

Take care and let me know what you think

Love Letter Sophie

Hello everyone

How are you?  Spring is almost here.  Yay!  So that makes me very happy. I can't

But anyway, I am here today to share with you a card I made as a DT project for
Sweet Nothings.   And here it is....

I just love the image.  This image is call Love Letter Sophie.  Isn't she beautiful?
I used the 6 x 6 paper "Bramble Rose" by My Minds Eye.
I love the charm from "spare parts" on the seam binding.  Every thing I used
was from my stash.  And I have to admit, I just love the way it came out.
