Winter Wonderland

Looks who's back...  Yes, me :-)

Well just a few days ago we had snow and yesterday was 60 degrees.  I'm not complaining.
No way!!  I'm actually loving it.  I took my grand daughters out on our deck and we blew
bubbles.  Trust me they are 4 and 2 years old and they loved it.
Watching them chasing bubbles was so darn cute!

Well, my DT project today is for Whimsical Wednesday.   Our challenge is
"Winter Wonderland."  So come along and play with us.  There is always a prize.  :-)
This is the card I created.

I used the beautiful digi Snowman Love Sophie.  Gosh, she is so cute!!  The paper
is from Martha Stewart Holidays.  I had some left over paper I picked up last year.
We had to use snow flakes so I thought it was perfect that this paper had lots of them.
I also added some eye let brads of snowflakes, and a few pearls.  The flowers are from
Micheal's.  And last but not least the sentiment is from Whimsical Designs
call "Snow much fun"

Don't forget this weekend is our blog hop.
Feb 1 - Feb 3
We will have 3 winners.  So please come back to see who the sponsors are.
I will tell you that the prizes are awesome.  You will be delighted.

Again thanks for coming by and I'll see you on Feb. 1st.
and as always I love to hear from you :-)

Saved the date

Me again...

How are you doing today?  Boy it's cold outside.  We got a little bit of snow on Thursday
and it sure looked pretty.  So white and fluffy.  LOL What's your weather like now where
you are?  I hope you're enjoying it.

Ah yes!  My post.... well my friends and I at Just a few designs have a blog hop today.
Elsa challenged us to go into our dens and create a calendar for 2013.  As I scratched
around for ideas I decided to make one very similar to one that Elsa made last year.
Hay,  there's nothing wrong with scrap-lifting right?!  You will probably have to watch
my YT video to see it better.  I promise... it's short, purrrr :-)  I know you have some hopping
to do.  LOL  Here it is... you tube .  It's 4 x 4 and the calendar pages are 3 1/2 by 3 1/2.

The paper is from K & Company by Susan Winget.  Beautiful paper by the way.
All my embellishments are from my stash.  Which I have to say made me very happy to
be able to use a lot of it.  LOL

We would love it if you would pounce over to everyones blog and check out the
different styles of Calendars everyone created.  If you are here first by chance go
to Elsa's blog and start from there.  If you have followed us in order then
yay!! you did it.  I'm the last one.  I want to thank you for hopping along with
us.  I hope that we all have inspired you to create a calendar.  Maybe a little one, a big
one, a fancy one or just a silly fun and crazy one like mine.  Happy crafting my friends.
We leave you with a big ROARRRRRRR.

Also we now have a FAN PAGE over on FB!  Click on this Link and it will take you to
the  PRIDES page where you will find everyones FAN PAGE address.  Then you can
come over and like us. We will be posting not only PRIDE related hops but also
other projects we create to inspire you to create as well.

All about Love

Hello there and Woo Hoo!  Another Valentine's Day project.  This time it's for my DT with
Whimsical Wednesday.   We were to create something "All about Love"  and this
is what I created for this occasion.

Yes, it's a balsa box that I picked up at Michael's.  I first painted it with pink acrylic paint.
The paper I used to cover the outside is Fabric Paper from DCWV that I picked up at
Joanne's last year while one of my shopping sprees with my sweet friend Friday.
I used IM Roses for the flowers. The bird, charm and lace are all from my
stash.  And you know I had to add some bling.

I hope you try to make one of these great balsa boxes.  They are so much fun to alter.
And very easy :-)  So please go on to Whimsical Wednesday and check out what the other
DT members have created for you and join our challenge.  I heard we have a little of everything.

And don't forget we are having a blog hop from Feb 1-3.

Take care and I love hearing from you

Graphicat Sketch #20

Well Hello my sweet friends

Today I share with you some great news.  I am on the DT for Cheri with
Graphicat Sketches.  Can I just tell you how super excited I am?!  The designs and sketches are all created by Cheri herself.  They are meant to be funny and make you laugh.  And they do!!
Some of you already know I love to take the challenge with the sketches she creates.
Today we start with Sketch #20 and this is what it looks like...

She also has designed some new "Anti V-Day" sentiments for Valentines.  Trust me, when you
see them you will have a good laugh.  Here is my Anti V-Day card following her sketch and
using one of her new sentiments.

I used "C'est la VIE" paper by Melissa Frances.  And one of my favorite images
Deviish Lucy.  I just love her.  I used my copic markers to color her, and paper pieced
her dress.  Everything else if from my stash.

Please go over to Graphicat Sketchs Challenge Blog.  Check out her new images she designed for
this wonderful occasion.  You will receive a freebie just for playing along.  And the winner of the challenge will receive a prize.  This is the free image you will get.  I don't know her name
but to me she's a prisoner of love!!

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back soon.
Happy V-Day

Yvette

Anything goes

Hello my beautiful Bloggie friends.

So how is 2013 treating you guys.  I can honestly say "so far, so good" for me.  LOL
Well, this is my first DT post for Stephanie at Whimsical Designs.  And I am super excited to share
my first project with you.  Since the theme is "Anything goes" I decided to make a tag.  I haven't made
one in a while so I was happy to make this one.

I used the "Romance Novel" Prima 6 x 6 paper pad.  I fussy cut some of the smaller images.  Including
the heart, which I used a heart punch I just picked up at Micheal's.  The pink flowers are from the Michael's 1.50 bin and the other ones including the lace and seam binding are from my stash.  As well as the lace and trim.  I also used some molding paste on the paper with a stencil I borrowed from my sister Yvonne.  The sentiment "Sending Hugs & Lots of Love" as well as "xoxoxo" is from the stamp
set "With Love".  Which you can find at her shop.

I will be sending this tag to my niece, who is away in College along with a care package  I hope she
likes it.  And I hope you enjoyed it also.  So please go on over to Whimsical Designs and
join our challenge.  I would love to see what you come up with.  And there will be a prize.  So, please come and create with us.  Also check out what the other DT girls have created for you.

Have a great day
Yvette
